Joe Flacco has signed a one-year contract with the Cleveland Browns worth $4 million, with the potential to reach $13 million through incentives. In his 18th NFL season, Flacco returns to Cleveland after winning the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year award in 2023. His career stats include 45,697 passing yards, 257 touchdowns, and 162 interceptions over 17 seasons. Last season, Flacco threw for 1,761 yards, 12 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions with the Indianapolis Colts. He joins a quarterback room that includes Deshaun Watson, who may miss most or all of the 2025 season due to injury, and Kenny Pickett, who was traded to the Browns and is in contention for the starting role. The Browns used four quarterbacks in 2024 and hold the second overall pick in the 2025 draft, having met with several top quarterback prospects.

Browns running it back with big Joe Flacco! I’m happy for the guy and for Browns fans because he brought the most success to their team in the last decade outside Baker Mayfield. Definitely a bridge, but not a bad bridge.

I’m not surprised that the Browns brought back Flacco. 4-1 as the starter, and helped them get into the playoffs. He knows the playback better and is a much cheaper option than Cousins.Solid move.
