Former Philadelphia Eagles star DeSean Jackson is close to finalizing a deal to become the head coach at Delaware State University. Jackson, who retired after the 2023 season, had an illustrious 15-year NFL career. He made the Pro Bowl three times in eight seasons with the Eagles, becoming the first player to earn honors at both kick returner and wide receiver. His career stats with the Eagles include 6,512 receiving yards (third all-time), 379 receptions (sixth), and 35 receiving touchdowns (ninth). As a punt returner, he ranks second in returns (132), third in return yards (1,296), and is tied for the team’s all-time lead in punt return touchdowns with four. Jackson’s potential move to coaching follows the dismissal of Lee Hull, who had a 1-11 record this year.
