Liam Coen, the former offensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has been appointed as the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Coen, at 39, will be the fourth-youngest active head coach in the NFL. His tenure with the Bucs was marked by significant achievements, including quarterback Baker Mayfield setting a franchise record with a 106.8 passer rating. The Bucs ranked in the top five in total offense (399.6 yards per game), scoring (29.5 points per game), rushing (149.2 yards per game), passing (250.4 yards per game), third-down conversions (50.9%), and red zone efficiency (66.7%). Mayfield also achieved career highs in passing yards (4,500), touchdowns (41), and completion percentage (71.4%). Coen’s move to the Jaguars follows a tumultuous hiring process, where he initially withdrew his candidacy, signed an extension with the Bucs, and then reconsidered after the Jaguars parted ways with their general manager.
