3D Giant Screen Film to Showcase Asia’s Wildlife Extremes

BBC Studios and China’s Orient International Holding Shanghai Foreign Trade Co. are collaborating on a 3D giant screen film titled ‘Asia: Wildlife at the Extremes.’ This project adapts the BBC’s acclaimed natural history series ‘Asia,’ which explored the continent’s diverse ecosystems from the Himalayas to the Indian Ocean. The original series captured unique footage of red pandas, a deadly sea bunny, and a previously unseen shark feeding frenzy. The new film will offer viewers a 40-minute IMAX or CINITY experience, or a 20-minute Dome version. The partnership aims to distribute this immersive experience globally, with BBC Studios using SK Films for distribution. This venture marks the expansion of a decade-long collaboration between BBC Studios and Orient International, focusing on bringing natural history to giant screens in China and beyond.
