Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill hinted at leaving the team after their season-ending loss to the New York Jets. Hill did not play in the final quarter of the game, which the Dolphins lost 32-20, officially eliminating them from playoff contention. In the locker room, Hill expressed frustration over missing the playoffs for the first time in his career. He has two years left on his contract, which was restructured before the season to include $106.5 million in guaranteed money. In 2024, Hill recorded 959 yards and six touchdowns on 81 catches, his lowest output since joining the Dolphins. He had just two catches for 20 yards in the Jets game. Coach Mike McDaniel confirmed Hill’s absence was not injury-related. The Dolphins finished the season with a losing record, missing the playoffs for the first time in McDaniel’s three seasons. Despite the disappointing season, McDaniel and general manager Chris Grier are expected to return in 2025, with owner Stephen Ross expressing full support for their leadership.
