Cooper Kupp, who spent eight seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, has been released by the team. Kupp’s career stats include 634 receptions, 7,776 receiving yards, and 58 total touchdowns. His standout 2021 season saw him lead the NFL with 145 receptions, 1,947 receiving yards, and 16 touchdowns, earning him the Offensive Player of the Year award and Super Bowl MVP honors. In the 2024 season, he played in 12 games, recording 67 catches for 710 yards and six touchdowns. The Rams have designated Kupp as a post-June cut, carrying a $29.78 million cap hit until then. This move will result in dead cap hits of $14.78 million in 2025 and $7.48 million in 2026, but it will save the team $15 million in cap space for the next season. Kupp signed a three-year contract extension worth $80.1 million following his 2021 season.

Hear me out…YES Cooper Kupp has been injury prone the last 3 seasons. BUT he’s still productive when healthy. In his last 33 games, he’s averaged 68 YPG (2,259 total). That’s MORE than Terry McLaurin produced in his last 34 games. For the right price? I’m in. #RaiseHail #NFL
