Gregg Popovich, the 76-year-old NBA coach, was hospitalized after a medical incident at a restaurant. He suffered a mild stroke in November and missed the rest of the season. Popovich has been the Spurs’ coach since the 1996-97 season. He holds the record as the NBA’s winningest coach with 1,412 regular-season victories and 170 postseason wins. He has led the team to five championships. Popovich signed a five-year contract extension in 2023. Under interim coach Mitch Johnson, the Spurs finished with a 31-45 record. Victor Wembanyama was sidelined for the remainder of the season due to deep vein thrombosis in his right shoulder. De’Aaron Fox, a new addition to the team, missed the final 18 games after undergoing surgery for a left pinkie injury. Popovich expressed his intention to return to coaching next season.

LeBron, a 40 year-old man who just strained his groin, has missed 7 out of 65 games and you have people writing think-pieces about him “load-managing,” yet they have zero smoke for Kawhi, Embiid, or PG, who are LESS than Part-Time Players at this point. Ya’ll are fucking dumb.
