41-Year-Old Rodgers in Play for Steelers: A Quarterback Market Shake-Up

The Pittsburgh Steelers are exploring options for a new quarterback, with Aaron Rodgers, a four-time MVP, emerging as a potential candidate. Rodgers, who will be a free agent after the New York Jets decided to move on from him, had a mixed performance last season, ranking 25th in QBR, 30th in completion percentage, and 28th in yards per attempt. Despite this, he threw for 3,897 yards and 28 touchdowns. The Steelers, who went 10-7 last season, are also in talks with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields. They’ve already bolstered their offense by trading for star receiver DK Metcalf, signing him to a five-year, $150 million deal. Wilson, who played with Metcalf in Seattle, had 2,482 yards and 16 touchdowns last season but struggled towards the end. Fields, who started the first six games for Pittsburgh, led them to a 4-2 record. The Steelers’ quarterback decision will significantly impact the free agency market.
