A staggering 40% of footballers face bankruptcy just four years after retiring. This alarming statistic, reported in The Times, has inspired the launch of Trnsmission, a new media channel aimed at bridging the gap between sports and culture. Trnsmission, founded by creative entrepreneur Kenny Annan-Jonathan, will focus on long-form content, including documentaries and conversation series. The channel plans to debut new shows like “40%”, a financial literacy program designed to help athletes manage their finances better. Trnsmission will serve as a cultural hub, celebrating not only athletes but also creators and behind-the-scenes talent. The media channel will host original content on its website, with plans to license some shows to other networks and platforms. Annan-Jonathan aims to make Trnsmission a go-to hub for exploring the intersection of business, sports, and culture, with a focus on both UK and global voices.

“I will empty my pension quickly… I will leave nothing for these idiots to take. I am closing down my business as I no longer see the point of continuing. Eventually, I will have no money left and will claim all the benefits I can”. Who can blame him?

Zero self awareness. Zero. I was holding out to retire in a couple of years when I’m 70. Now my 401k is being decimated and I have no idea what they’re going to do to social security. I’m not in a good place right now.
