By the end of the round, DeChambeau closed the gap to two strokes after sinking a 48-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole. Both golfers rank 1-2 in driving distance at the tournament. McIlroy has not won a major since 2014, while DeChambeau has secured two majors since McIlroy’s last victory. The final round will see these two competitors in the last group, vying for the championship.
