Iowa State’s women’s basketball team ended their NCAA-record 945-game streak of making at least one 3-pointer in a game, but still managed to defeat Texas Tech 71-58. The Cyclones went 0 for 7 from beyond the arc, marking the first time since February 19, 1995, they didn’t make a long-range shot. Despite this, Iowa State focused on scoring inside, with Addy Brown and Audi Crooks combining for 49 points. The team, which began the season ranked No. 8, is now 13-6 overall and 4-2 in the Big 12. Historically, Iowa State has been among the top 3-point shooting teams, with 151 3-pointers this season, ranking third in the Big 12. Ashley Joens holds the school record with 344 career 3-pointers.
