In a thrilling college basketball game, Arizona’s Caleb Love hit a game-tying shot from beyond half court at the buzzer, forcing overtime against No. 3 Iowa State. Love, who had struggled with his 3-point shooting, finished with 22 points, including two more 3-pointers in overtime. Arizona outscored Iowa State 15-4 in the extra period, securing an 86-75 win. This victory marked Arizona’s first win over a top-five opponent as an unranked team since 1979. Iowa State, despite a strong first half, couldn’t recover after Love’s heave, shooting only 1-of-6 and committing three turnovers in overtime. The Wildcats’ 11-point margin of victory tied their largest in an OT game in program history. Tobe Awaka contributed with 17 points and 12 rebounds for Arizona, while Tamin Lipsey and Keshon Gilbert led Iowa State with 18 and 17 points respectively.
