Aneesah Morrow’s remarkable performance led LSU to a thrilling 80-73 victory over NC State, securing their spot in the Elite Eight for the third consecutive year. Morrow scored 30 points and grabbed 19 rebounds, achieving the first 30-point, 15-rebound game in the Sweet 16 or later since Stanford’s Nneka Ogwumike in the 2010 Final Four. This game also marked Morrow’s 64th career game with at least 20 points and 10 rebounds, surpassing Iowa’s Megan Gustafson for the most such performances in the past 25 years. Despite LSU trailing for much of the final period, Morrow’s dominance in the paint and a late-game surge led by Mikaylah Williams secured the win. NC State’s Zoe Brooks led her team with 21 points, but LSU’s defensive efforts in the closing minutes sealed the victory.
