Executive Assistants at Family Offices Can Earn Up to $190,000 Annually

Family offices, managing the wealth of the ultra-rich, are in a fierce competition with Wall Street for talent, driving up salaries for administrative staff. Executive assistants at these firms can now earn base salaries exceeding $140,000, significantly above the industry average of $81,500 for senior executive assistants. A survey by Botoff Consulting of 436 family offices revealed a median base salary of $100,048 for these roles. At family offices with assets over $2.5 billion, this median pay increases by about 35%. The top 10% of administrative assistants can make $188,800, with bonuses potentially pushing their total compensation to $240,000. These assistants often handle extensive responsibilities, from managing travel to coordinating household staff, and are expected to be highly adaptable and discreet.
