Elon Musk Highlights 100% Disparity in US-China Tech Operations

Elon Musk has voiced concerns over the unequal treatment of tech companies between the US and China. He pointed out that while TikTok operates freely in the US, his platform X is banned in China. This comes after President-elect Donald Trump hinted at extending a deadline for ByteDance, TikTok’s parent company, to divest from the app, which had faced a temporary ban in the US. Musk, who has been cautious in his comments about Beijing due to Tesla’s significant presence in China, emphasized the need for change in this imbalanced situation. In response, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning stated that China welcomes companies that comply with its laws, and Chinese firms abroad must adhere to local regulations. Meanwhile, TikTok began restoring its services in the US following Trump’s proposal for a joint venture.
