The emails were reviewed, and it was found that while the NSC official used Gmail, his interagency colleagues used government-issued accounts. Waltz himself received less sensitive but potentially exploitable information on his Gmail, including his schedule and other work documents. Officials noted that Waltz would sometimes copy and paste from his schedule into Signal to coordinate meetings and discussions. Additionally, Waltz hosted multiple sensitive national-security conversations on Signal with cabinet members. These discussions included topics like brokering peace between Russia and Ukraine and military operations.
