75% of Pros Believe New VALORANT Agent Won’t Shake Up the Meta Like Tejo Did

In the world of VALORANT, the introduction of the new duelist agent, Waylay, has sparked discussions among professionals. A significant 75% of pros and coaches believe that Waylay won’t disrupt the game’s meta as significantly as Tejo did. This sentiment comes just two months after Tejo’s release, highlighting the rapid shifts in the game’s competitive environment. The addition of Waylay coincides with changes to two maps for Stage 1, adding to the complexity of adapting to the new meta. Sentinels’ head coach, Adam “kaplan” Kaplan, expressed concerns about the fatigue these frequent changes could cause, especially with back-to-back events leading to unpredictable outcomes. Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro, a professional player, noted that while Waylay is good, she struggles to stand out among other overtuned duelists like Yoru and Raze. As VALORANT continues to evolve, the focus remains on how these statistical insights into player and coach opinions will influence future gameplay strategies.
