70% of Casual VALORANT Players Find the Game Unfun, Says Fnatic

Statistics from Fnatic, a top VALORANT team in Europe, reveal that 70% of casual players do not find the game fun. This insight comes from an interview with Fnatic’s Timofey “Chronicle” Khromov and Kajetan “Kaajak” Haremski. They emphasized the importance of Riot Games balancing the needs of both casual and professional players to retain the overall player base. The duo suggested that adding new game modes, events, and agents could keep players engaged, potentially boosting viewership for VALORANT’s esports scene. Fnatic also highlighted the challenges they anticipate in the upcoming VCT EMEA, where they will face strong competition, including Team Heretics. Despite these challenges, Fnatic remains determined to win. The team’s partnership with Red Bull in 2025 was also discussed, with both players expressing their appreciation for the energy drink’s role in their performance. Fnatic believes that the future of esports depends on Riot Games’ ability to support both casual and competitive audiences effectively.
