Travis Hunter, a standout at Colorado, played an impressive 713 snaps on offense and 748 on defense in 2024. He insists on playing both wide receiver and cornerback in the NFL. Hunter, who won the Heisman Trophy and several other awards last season, says he would retire if forced to choose one position. His versatility is rare; he was the first player since 1976 with over 500 receiving yards and four interceptions in a season. Despite missing nearly five games due to injury, Hunter led the FBS in snaps in 2023 and 2024, totaling 2,625. Cleveland Browns GM Andrew Berry praised Hunter’s ability to play both positions, emphasizing his potential as a wide receiver first. At 21, Hunter remains confident in his ability to excel on both sides of the ball in the NFL.

#Colorado CB Travis Hunter6-foot, 188.Premium ball skills/playmaking ability. Sudden mover β with closing speed. Can cover the deep part of the field + take the air out underneath. Route ID in man/zone to get a jump on the throw. Willing tackler on the edges.

Travis Hunter played a ridiculous 85% of his teamβs snaps in 2024 β 1,460 total on defense and offense.He locked down 82% of the defensive snaps and is still a ππ¨π© πππ ππ¨π§πππ§πππ« in this rookie class.Two-way dominance like this is insane. Absolute stud.

Deion told me on “Skip1on1” that he’d play Travis Hunter in the NFL just the way he did in college … 70-80% of the defensive AND offensive snaps bc NFL offenses huddle more, pace isn’t as draining as college. AN NFL TEAM WOULD BE FOOLISH PREVENTING HIM FROM PLAYING RECEIVER.

Would Travis Hunter would play WR or CB for the #Patriots?
@ChadGraff
says that Drake Maye desperately needs a WR1. Hunter would help a very weak WR room. Maybe New England could give him a few defensive snaps, and in a few years, have him switch sides depending on the opponent.

I canβt believe ESPN still chooses to give Mike Tannenbaum money. Travis Hunter should be the complete opposite, full-time WR and 15-20 defensive snaps.
