Bitcoin’s risk-adjusted performance, measured in standard deviations (z-score) over the previous 365 days, also indicates that the bull cycle ended in late February. The crypto market may find a floor in mid-to-late Q2 2025, setting up a better Q3 2025. Venture capital funding for alternative cryptocurrencies has slowed, with overall funding 50%-60% below 2021-22 levels, despite Bitcoin reaching new highs above $70K earlier this year.
