In the early 1940s, the Nazi propaganda magazine Signal, led by colonel Hasso von Wedel, aimed to present Germany in a favorable light. Modeled after America’s Life magazine, Signal surprisingly contained almost no anti-Semitic content. Instead, about 50% of its material focused on portraying Germany as friendly, kind, peace-loving, and nearly liberal. This approach was likely chosen to avoid offending the intelligentsia in its target countries. Paul Karl Schmidt, the press officer of the Foreign Office and an expert on the Jewish question, significantly influenced the magazine’s content.

Rough translation:
The Doctrine of Hate … born of Jewish brains … spread by a madman … contaminates the world
By this, the soldiers are stabbed in the back!
