Boerse Stuttgart Digital, a division of the stock exchange operator Boerse Stuttgart, has been granted a crypto asset service provider (CASP) license by Germany’s financial regulator, BaFin. This license allows the company to offer its services across the entire European Union under the new Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) regulations. The MiCA framework, which came into effect on December 30, simplifies the regulatory landscape for crypto businesses by allowing them to operate across all 27 EU countries with just one license. Previously, firms needed separate licenses for each country. This development not only streamlines operations for Boerse Stuttgart Digital but also positions Germany as a competitive hub in the European crypto market. The company plans to expand its offerings for financial institutions throughout Europe. Other companies like MoonPay, BitStaete, ZBD, and Hidden Road have also secured similar licenses from the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets.
