In March, streaming services captured 43.8% of total television usage. Prime Video’s “Reacher” led the pack with 6.6 billion minutes viewed. Hulu’s “Family Guy” followed with 4.8 billion minutes. “The White Lotus” secured fourth place with 4.5 billion minutes streamed, contributing to Max’s 6% growth in streaming share. Paramount+’s “1923” and Apple TV+’s “Severance” also made the top 10, with the latter garnering 3.3 billion minutes. Netflix featured multiple entries, including “Adolescence” and “Running Point.” Cable viewing slightly increased to 24% of TV usage, with sports viewing up 29%, driven by NCAA Men’s Elite Eight games. Cable news held strong with seven of the top 10 cable telecasts. Broadcast TV usage dropped 9% to 20.5%, with the Oscars attracting 20.3 million viewers across ABC and Hulu. CBS’s “Tracker” was a standout, accounting for five of the top 10 broadcast telecasts.
