$301M Global Opening: ‘A Minecraft Movie’ Shatters Box Office Records!

‘A Minecraft Movie’ has achieved a staggering global opening of $301 million. The film earned $144 million from the international box office alone. It broke records in several markets. In China, the movie opened with $6.6 million on its first day, the largest launch for a Hollywood film this year. The UK saw a phenomenal start with $6 million on Friday, capturing 91% of the market’s top five films. Spain’s debut was $1.7 million, dominating 83% of the top five movies. Poland grossed $1.5 million on its opening day. The top five markets through Friday were China ($6.6M), UK ($6.2M), Mexico ($4M), Germany ($3.6M), and Australia ($2.8M). The film’s success extends across various regions, with strong performances in the Middle East and Latin America.
