40 Points and Record-Breaking Performances: Elite Eight Rankings Revealed!

The 2025 women’s NCAA tournament has reached the Elite Eight, with standout performances driving the rankings. UConn’s Paige Bueckers set a new tournament record with 40 points, leading the Huskies to a dominant run with an average victory margin of 42 points. Bueckers also surpassed Maya Moore’s scoring average, now at 19.8 points per game. UCLA’s Lauren Betts scored 31 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, joining an elite group with back-to-back 30-point, 10-rebound games in the tournament. USC overcame the loss of star JuJu Watkins, with freshmen Kennedy Smith and Avery Howell scoring 19 and 18 points, respectively. Duke’s defense has been stellar, allowing an average of 38.7 points per game and forcing 62 turnovers through three games.
