T-Mobile has launched a new satellite service called T-Mobile Starlink, aiming to cover the 500,000 square miles of the US where traditional cell towers don’t reach. This service, which has been in development for over two years, is now in beta testing. T-Mobile customers can add this service for $15 a month, while non-T-Mobile customers will pay $20. Over the past 13 months, SpaceX’s Starlink has launched about 450 satellites to support this initiative. Currently, the service only supports texting, but T-Mobile plans to expand to voice calls and data. Interestingly, Verizon and AT&T customers can also use T-Mobile Starlink without switching carriers, provided they have an unlocked phone with eSIM technology.
