NFL Stadiums See 37% Surge in Mobile Data Usage in 2024

In 2024, NFL fans’ mobile data consumption at stadiums soared by 37% from the previous year, reaching about 960 terabytes. Video content made up a quarter of this data, while call time increased by 8% to 4.3 million minutes. Monday night games led with an average of 4 terabytes of data usage, surpassing the 3.6 terabytes on Sundays. AT&T Stadium in Dallas topped the list with 6.2 terabytes, an 11% increase, while U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis saw a 60% jump to 5.6 terabytes. Lambeau Field in Green Bay, despite being the smallest market, still saw a 28% rise to 1.9 terabytes. NFC stadiums had 24% more mobile usage than AFC ones. This surge reflects fans’ increasing reliance on mobile devices for game-day experiences, from tickets to social media sharing.
