A new scam on YouTube has crypto scammers stealing from other thieves. The scam involves a bait wallet with over $8,000 in stablecoins on the Tron blockchain. Scammers post comments asking for help transferring funds, using a seed phrase that grants access to the wallet. However, the wallet is a multi-signature one, requiring multiple approvals for transactions. When thieves attempt to steal the funds, the tokens are redirected to another wallet controlled by the scammers. This scheme primarily targets other scammers, with gas fees typically costing less than $10 across most blockchains. The scam has been noted by security firm Kaspersky, with several instances across the internet using similar tactics.
