48 Tesla Incidents in One Month: FBI Launches 10-Person Task Force

The FBI has initiated a 10-person task force to investigate 48 reported incidents targeting Tesla vehicles, dealerships, and charging stations this month. The task force includes special agents and intelligence analysts from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, as well as personnel from the FBI’s Counterterrorism Division. The FBI is currently investigating at least seven of these incidents in collaboration with local law enforcement. Some attacks involved Molotov cocktails, with incidents reported in San Antonio, Texas. The FBI is reviewing security camera footage and cell phone location data to identify more suspects. There have been three arrests related to these incidents so far. The FBI categorizes these attacks as domestic terrorism, defined as violent acts to further ideological goals stemming from domestic influences.
