$500 Billion Boost: Apple’s Massive US Investment Plan

Apple has announced a monumental $500 billion investment in the US over the next four years. This is the company’s largest-ever commitment in the country, focusing on artificial intelligence, chip manufacturing, advanced research, and worker training. The investment will create about 20,000 jobs, with most in R&D, silicon engineering, software development, and AI. Key projects include a new 250,000-square-foot server-manufacturing facility in Houston, opening in 2026, and expanding data center capacity in several states. Apple will also double its US Advanced Manufacturing Fund to $10 billion, with significant spending on advanced chips at a new Arizona fab by TSMC. This Arizona plant, now producing Apple chips, aims to secure America’s domestic supply of advanced chips, potentially shifting some of TSMC’s business from Taiwan to the US.
