A new French cozy crime series, Curious By Nature, is set to captivate international audiences. The show features Florence Pernel as Fred, a former war reporter now delving into local news and uncovering hidden criminal cases. The series, which consists of three 90-minute episodes, is known in France as Enquête Parallèle and airs on France 3. It boasts a robust cast including Jean-Baptiste Shelmerdine, Jessyrielle Massengo, and Macha Méril. Directed by Stéphan Pillonca and Christophe Paturange, the scripts come from Armelle Patron and Emmanuel Patron. France TV Distribution is launching the series at MIP London, highlighting its appeal in the cozy crime genre, which has seen significant success with shows like Tom and Lola and HPI. The latter has even been adapted for U.S. television. With crime programming still in high demand, Curious By Nature promises to continue France’s tradition of engaging, light-hearted crime dramas.
