Trump has pledged to appoint an “Anti-DEI czar” to rescind related executive actions and terminate associated contracts and grants. On transgender policies, the Biden administration’s actions, including regulations under Title IX, were temporarily blocked by the Supreme Court, but federal appellate courts have prohibited implementation of state laws barring transgender athletes from competing on opposite-sex teams. The Trump administration intends to restore previous regulations and protect women and girls through litigation.
