5-Year Netflix Boom in Wales Generates $265M for UK Economy!

Over the past five years, Netflix’s projects in Wales, including Tom Hardy’s upcoming film Havoc and the series Sex Education, have contributed more than $265 million to the UK economy. Havoc, the largest feature film ever shot entirely in Wales, will also feature Welsh-language subtitles. Alongside Havoc, shows like The Crown and The Witcher have also played a role in reaching this economic milestone. The exact yearly contributions were not specified in the report. Anna Mallet, Vice President of Production, UK, at Netflix, praised Wales for its creative talent and natural landscapes, expressing delight in the ongoing cultural and economic opportunities created by Netflix’s productions in the region.
