$200M Settlement Shocks Financial World: Galaxy Digital’s Numbers Revealed!

Galaxy Digital will pay a hefty $200 million to settle with the New York Attorney General’s office. This settlement relates to the firm’s involvement with the Terra-Luna ecosystem, which collapsed in May 2022, erasing about $60 billion in value. The company disclosed this settlement in its latest earnings report. For the fourth quarter of 2024, Galaxy reported a profit of $174 million. The full year profit reached $365 million, including the legal provision for the settlement. Additionally, Galaxy Digital has secured a 15-year lease with CoreWeave. This agreement will see Galaxy supply 133 MW of electricity for AI and high-performance computing at its Helios data center in West Texas. The company anticipates generating around $4.5 billion in revenue from this lease. Galaxy’s profit per diluted share stands at $1.02. On Thursday, GLXY shares closed down by 3.54%.
