This investment facilitated the sale and transfer of Vuno’s AI-powered lung disease diagnosis support software to Coreline Soft, marking the latter’s entry into the Japanese market. The Japanese market is known for its active investments in AI-based medical technology. Truemeds, an Indian digital pharmacy and telehealth platform, raised $44 million in a Series C funding round. This round was led by Accel India, with WestBridge and Info Edge also participating. Accel India now holds a 10% stake in Truemeds, while WestBridge and Info Edge have increased their stakes to 29% and 23%, respectively. Korea University Medical Center (KUMC) signed a memorandum of understanding with startup a.cure to develop AI technology for diagnosing and predicting heart failure based on voice data. Promedius, a Korean medical AI company, received regulatory approval from the South Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for its osteoporosis diagnosis support AI software. This software is claimed to be less expensive and have lower radiation exposure risk compared to traditional bone density tests.
