The MIT Human Insight Collaborative (MITHIC) has launched, focusing on human-centered fields from the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (SHASS). MITHIC aims to empower scholars to pursue innovative ideas, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and enhance teaching methods. Over 100 faculty members have already engaged in MITHIC’s “Meeting of the Minds” events, which connect researchers on topics like cybersecurity, food security, climate simulations, and the bioeconomy. The initiative was celebrated with a showcase featuring faculty research, student performances, and a keynote by novelist Min Jin Lee. MITHIC represents MIT’s commitment to integrating human insights into technology development, ensuring technology serves humanity.
