1 in 5 WNBA Players Make the Cut: A Statistical Breakdown of the WNBA All-Stars

The WNBA All-Star rosters have been announced, with a total of 24 players selected to participate in the July 19 game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Caitlin Clark and Napheesa Collier drafted their teams, with Clark choosing 10 players and Collier selecting 14.

Notably, three Indiana Fever players will be on the same team, making them the most represented franchise in the All-Star lineup. Team Clark features a mix of veterans and rookies, including Sabrina Ionescu (#3), A’ja Wilson (#5), and Satou Sabally (#7). Meanwhile, Team Collier boasts a strong starting five with Allisha Gray, Nneka Ogwumike, Paige Bueckers, and Courtney Williams.

The statistics tell the story: 20% of WNBA players have been selected to participate in the All-Star Game. With 24 players chosen, that’s one in every five players on a WNBA roster. The numbers don’t lie – these talented athletes are truly the best of the best.

The WNBA ratings are down 50% since Caitlin Clark got injured. Angel Reese, A’ja Wilson, the WNBA commissioner and all the others have tried to take credit for the WNBA’s success, and they’re getting a reality check.

WNBA ratings down 55% since Caitlin Clark’s injury. The WNBA doesn’t care. They can lose money and still sustain as they’ve done for 25 years. Black and lesbian female “empowerment” is still their priority. They don’t care about profit.

Roster cuts will be the hardest part of the week. Until the rosters expand, there are only 156 spots in the WNBA. There’s so much talent, yet so little space. I truly hate this time of the year
