1 in 5 Americans Believe AI Will Replace Human Jobs: Study Reveals

According to a recent study, an astonishing 22% of Americans believe that artificial intelligence (AI) will replace human jobs within the next decade. This staggering statistic highlights the growing concern about the impact of automation on the workforce.

The study, which surveyed over 2,000 adults in the United States, found that 45% of respondents believed AI would augment human capabilities, while only 13% thought it would have no significant effect on employment. Notably, younger Americans (ages 18-34) were more likely to believe AI would replace jobs, with 27% agreeing with this statement.

The study also revealed a significant gender gap, with 25% of men and 19% of women believing AI would replace human jobs. Additionally, respondents with higher levels of education were less likely to agree with the statement, with only 15% of those holding a bachelor’s degree or higher sharing this concern.

These findings underscore the importance of addressing the potential consequences of automation on employment and developing strategies to mitigate its impact.
