According to a recent survey, nearly one-fifth of American adults believe that artificial intelligence (AI) will take their jobs within the next five years. This sentiment is reflected across various industries, with 22% of respondents in the technology sector and 20% in healthcare expecting AI to replace human workers.
The survey also found that 45% of Americans are concerned about job automation, while 31% believe it will have a positive impact on their careers. Interestingly, 24% of respondents aged 18-34 are more optimistic about AI’s potential, compared to 17% of those aged 55 and older.
These statistics highlight the growing unease surrounding AI’s impact on the workforce, with many Americans unsure about its long-term effects.
