OpenAI has released GPT-4.5, a new version of its flagship large language model. This model, available to ChatGPT Pro subscribers, is part of its non-reasoning lineup. OpenAI claims it’s their biggest and best chat model yet. While the exact size of the model remains undisclosed, the company says the scale increase from GPT-4o to GPT-4.5 matches the jump from GPT-3.5 to GPT-4o. Experts estimate that GPT-4 could have as many as 1.8 trillion parameters, the values that get tweaked during training. This leap in scale suggests significant advancements in the model’s capabilities.
