MicroStrategy has ramped up its Bitcoin investment, acquiring an additional 2,530 BTC for $243 million in the week ending January 12. This latest purchase brings their total holdings to a staggering 450,000 BTC. The average price for this recent acquisition was $95,972, pushing the overall average purchase price of their holdings to $62,691. Despite this bullish move, MicroStrategy’s shares dipped nearly 5% in premarket trading, mirroring a similar decline in Bitcoin’s price, which now hovers just above $90,000. Meanwhile, Semler Scientific also joined the Bitcoin buying spree, adding 237 BTC for $23.3 million, bringing their total to 2,321 BTC at an average price of $82,867. Their shares also fell, dropping almost 7% in premarket trading.
