LeBron James, the 40-year-old Lakers superstar, has become the first NBA player to score 50,000 combined points in regular season and postseason games. He achieved this milestone with a 3-pointer in a game against the New Orleans Pelicans, finishing with 34 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists. James now holds the NBA’s career scoring record with 41,871 regular-season points and 8,162 playoff points. In his last 28 games, he averaged 26.4 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 8.1 assists, shooting 54.1% from the field and 42.3% from three-point range. His performance has been instrumental in the Lakers’ recent success, winning 17 of their last 20 games, placing them second in the Western Conference with a 39-21 record. Despite his age, James continues to perform at an elite level, recently earning the Western Conference Player of the Month award for February.
