Elton John’s greatest hits album, Diamonds, has reached the top spot on the UK album chart after an astonishing 374 weeks on the charts. This marks his ninth number one album at the age of 77. The album, which includes classics like “Tiny Dancer” and “Rocket Man,” has sold over 1.5 million copies since its release in 2017. A recent re-release on Blu-ray, cassette, and diamond-vinyl boosted its sales. Additionally, streaming numbers spiked following the Disney+ documentary “Never Too Late,” which chronicled his career and farewell tour. Sir Elton’s chart-topping albums span six decades, with his first being “Don’t Shoot Me I’m Only The Piano Player” in 1973. He remains eager to return to the studio and release new music.
