Bob Dylan, born Robert Allen Zimmerman in 1941, has had a prolific career spanning over six decades. His first album was released in 1962, and his latest, “Shadow Kingdom,” came out in 2023. Over the years, Dylan has released numerous classics like “Highway 61 Revisited” and “Blood on the Tracks.” His songs have been covered by artists such as Nina Simone, The Byrds, and Peter, Paul, and Mary. Dylan’s influence extends beyond his own performances; he has countless live records, bootlegs, compilations, and writing credits for other hits. His involvement in the Civil Rights Movement is notable, with songs like “Blowin’ in the Wind” and “The Times They Are A-Changing” becoming anthems. Dylan performed at the 1963 March on Washington alongside Joan Baez. His controversial 1965 Newport Folk Festival performance, where he played electric guitar, is a pivotal moment in his career. Dylan has shared stages with many artists, notably The Band and the Traveling Wilburys. Since June 1988, he has been on the Never Ending tour, typically playing about 100 shows per year.
