Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley has become the ninth player in NFL history to rush for over 2,000 yards in a single season. This milestone was achieved during a 41-7 win against the Dallas Cowboys, securing the NFC East division title for the Eagles. Barkley’s 23-yard run in the fourth quarter put him over the 2,000-yard mark. He finished the game with 167 yards on 31 carries. Barkley is now just 101 yards shy of breaking Eric Dickerson’s single-season rushing record of 2,105 yards. This season, Barkley has had 11 games with over 100 rushing yards, the most by any player in their first season with a new team in NFL history.
