Acer Hikes PC Prices by 10% Due to Tariffs

Acer, a major PC manufacturer, has announced a 10 percent price increase on its computers in the US. This adjustment comes in response to a new 10 percent import tariff on Chinese goods, as stated by Acer CEO Jason Chen. The price hike will not immediately affect products already shipped from China before the tariffs were implemented. However, consumers can expect to see these changes reflected in PC price tags in the coming weeks. Chen also mentioned that Acer is exploring options to shift more manufacturing outside of China, including potentially to the US, to mitigate the impact of these tariffs. This strategy follows a similar move made by Acer after previous tariffs were imposed during Trump’s first term.
