103-Game Streak: South Carolina’s Unbeaten Halftime Lead Record

South Carolina has won 103 consecutive games when leading at halftime, the longest active streak in Division I. Their last loss when leading at halftime was on March 6, 2022, against Kentucky. In their latest game, South Carolina defeated Texas 74-57, with 40 points in the paint and 15 fast-break points. Joyce Edwards contributed 13 points and 11 rebounds, while the bench added 35 points. UConn, on the other hand, beat UCLA 85-51, led by Sarah Strong’s 22 points and Azzi Fudd’s 19 points. UConn’s defense limited UCLA to 9-of-34 shooting from the field outside of Lauren Betts, who scored 26 points. The upcoming national championship game will be a rematch of the 2022 final, where South Carolina won 64-49. UConn previously defeated South Carolina 87-58 during the regular season.
