The flight, Delta 4819, had originated from Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport. The crash led to a temporary halt in airport operations, resuming by 5 p.m. ET. Delta canceled all remaining flights to and from Toronto that day and issued travel waivers. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Transportation Safety Board of Canada, with U.S. investigators also participating. Weather conditions at the time included winds of 20-30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph, following a storm that had dumped over 8 inches of snow.
