2.2 Million Properties Now Bookable with Crypto!

Trivago has expanded its hotel search platform by integrating Travala’s inventory of 2.2 million properties. Users can now pay for their bookings using bitcoin, ether, and over 50 other cryptocurrencies. This partnership follows Travala’s previous collaborations with Skyscanner and Kayak, enhancing the practical applications of cryptocurrencies in travel. Travala, founded in 2017 and backed by Binance, also offers rewards in bitcoin or its native token AVA, which has seen a significant drop of over 50% this year. Despite this, Travala has been exploring acquisition opportunities, with Booking.com previously considering a buyout.
