Chris Krebs, former director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), was fired by President Trump in November 2020. Krebs disputed Trump’s claims that the 2020 election was rigged. A recent survey showed that 90% of Americans trust the security of U.S. elections. Krebs left his position at SentinelOne, a security company, to focus on countering the Trump administration’s actions against him. On April 9, Trump issued a memorandum targeting Krebs and SentinelOne, labeling Krebs a “significant bad-faith actor” and accusing him of censoring disfavored speech related to the 2020 election and the COVID-19 pandemic. The memo also falsely claimed that Krebs denied election rigging without basis. It directed U.S. officials to revoke Krebs’ security clearance and review clearances of those associated with him at SentinelOne. Krebs announced his departure from SentinelOne, stating his fight is for democracy, freedom of speech, and the rule of law.

Chris Krebs was Trump’s own Director of Cybersecurity during the 2020 election. Krebs said the election was the “most secure in American history” contradicting Trump’s lies about it being stolen. Now Trump wants Krebs investigated for telling the truth.

Fun Fact: Chris Kreb’s “most secure election in history” statement was actually written by a small coalition that included Democracy Works, Smartmatic & Dominion Voting.Krebs was absolute poison. Worked to undermine Trump from Day One. Deserves everything that’s coming.

Chris Krebs is stepping up again.
The former CISA Director is going full-time to fight disinformation.
Not politics. Just cybersecurity.
Truth is a security issue.
When trust breaks, threat actors thrive.
Stand with facts. Stand for integrity.

Chris Krebs had no authority to opine on election security. So he had the companies he worked with at CISA – Dominion Voting, Smartmatic and others – draft a statement that he issued as though it were his own.All to fool the American public. He knew there were massive problems.
